Case Summary  |  Back Pain due to Strained Muscles

Condition Back Mid (Thoracic) Muscle Strain
Case Description

Due to working on the computer all day, I started having severe back pain in the lower/mid back. The situation became so terrible that I couldn't sit or sleep. My Xrays came out alright. According to my doctor, the pain was due to my posture. He prescribed me pain medication and refered me to the Physiotherapist.
My condition is much better now. Its not fully gone but I can sit & sleep properly now. My condition is improved because of a couple of very simple reasons i.e. I changed my work habits. Now I don't continuously sit for hours & hours in front of the computer screen. Instead, I walk for a few minutes every couple of hours. At the end of the work day, I try to go for atleast 20 minute walk. I changed my mattress. The mattress does not have to be expensive but it must be firm. I still take pain medication some times but not regularly. I mostly rely on sitting straight, using firm mattress and walk.
I'm not sure how helpful drinking the water was in my condition. But I did started drinking a lot of water. Now my pain is in control so water may have played a role in it too.
