Case Summary | Chiropractor and back exercises help my slipped disk
| Condition | Back Lower (Lumbar) Herniated Disk |
| Case Description | I think it’s important to have a good Chiropractor. I tried about 4 different chiropractors, but most of them spent like 5 minutes adjusting my back, which didn’t really help. Most of them also want you to come back up to 3 time a week, which is ridiculous. My current Dr spends 15 to 20 minutes each session (massages and heats the muscles before full adjustment) and actually encourages longer periods between each adjustment. Typically I wait about 2 weeks after I slip my disk to get an adjustment, so the inflammation can go away. My second recommendation is to do back strengthening and stretching exercises few times a week. The cat exercise is my favorite. |
