Case Summary | Craniosacral therapy really helped my with my chronic neck pain
| Condition | Back Upper - Neck (Cervical) Pain |
| Case Description | Last year I was involved in a car accident. I was hit from behind and like so many people I had what I would called a little bit of whiplash. Unfortunately, I didn't really realize it at the time and the doctors said that I was O.K at first. This was long ordeal that I felt a little ripped off in the end by the medical community/insurance companies. Anyway I ended up two months later declared healthy, but I was still experiencing pain in my neck. I learned that this is called the cervical region of the back and according to the doctors and some x-rays everything was in working order and they could no longer help me. So I searched out an alternative method of treatment, Craniosacral therapy. A friend of mine's husband is a chiropractor and he recommended that this therapy is sometime very effective for cervicalgia, the new word I learned for neck pain, and reccomended an excellent physician. I went and it really was amazing. It was different than any massage, body work or trip to the chiropractor I have ever been to and also for me very effective. The craniosacral therapy works by relieving restrictions in your nerve's channels and balancing the cerebrospinal fluid. I don't really understand the fine points of this , but it feels like an intense massage that moves the structure of your bones to allow the nerves to heal. After all the traditional medicines I received this worked better by far for me. I would suggest trying it to anyone frustrated with being told your are well when you know you still are in pain and not healed. |
