Case Summary  |  Cronic knee pain

I've had really terrible knee pain for years. Often just walking up the stairs will set it off, but the cold weather makes walking unbearable. My knee joints would swell and ache so bad it made me want to cry.

I've visited doctors about the condition in the past, and got a lot mixed answered. Most examines came back as growing pain. One doctor told me it was probable early-onset arthritis. The treatments were as varied as the diagnoses. I was told to do nothing, to meditate, to try aroma therapy, acupuncture, surgery...it was pretty insane.

In April 2009, I once again went to a doctor to see if I could get a new diagnosis. The doctor finally explained that knee cartilage wears down naturally a little at a time. However, biological factors can contribute to the process speeding up.

Today, I treat the pain with ibuprophen and hot packs. I'm also taking a compliment to promote cartilage growth.
