Case Summary  |  Herniated disk (lower lumbar)

Condition Back Lower (Lumbar) Herniated Disk
Case Description

I bent over from a sitting position to pick something up off the floor and felt a severe sharp, burning pain in my lower back. The pain was so bad that I couldn't even sit. My doctor examined me and told me I had a herniated disk. He recommended physical therapy and epidural steroid injection's when the pain was to much to handle. It took twelve weeks for the pain to be at a level where I could handle it. It was a long painful recovery, but I did have a complete recovery.

I used NSAID gel, Naproxen Sodium, and Epidural steroid injections for the pain. I also underwent extensive Physical, and Osteopathic therapy to help heal my injury.
