Case Summary | How I hurt my back marching and what I did about it.
| Condition | Back Lower (Lumbar) Pain |
| Case Description | When I was in high school I played snare drum in the marching band. I was 113 pounds at the time and the drum had to have been at least 50. By the end of the year, I began to get shooting pains in my back even when the drum was not on. I also began to have bruising on my shoulders and the drum harness had rubbed on my hips so much that I had scars from the cuts. I decided to take action and I began seeing a chiropractor. I go to him every other week now and I have not had any issues with pain in my back since. The bruises went away after a week of rest. I still have the scars but they are not as noticeable as before because I put vitamin E on them. The chiropractor is something I would recommend to anyone with back problems. I had a pinched nerve and the moving of my spine helped to unpinch it. My back now feels fine and I am more active than I was before. |
