Case Summary | Long term mild depression
| Condition | General Depression |
| Case Description | There have been many things in my life that I regret. Abortion, divorce, suicide, past mistakes, drug abuse, etc that have contributed to a consistent, life long ailment that my MDs have treated with common anti depressants (celexa first, caused me to shut down completely, no personality, so switched to lexapro at lower dose). Because I have expressed a reluctance to take prescription drugs due to the severe effect that they have on me (they also make me more depressed), my MD and I are currently focusing on natural, healthy ways to combat the disease. Amongst other things, healthy diet, exercise, and rest are our focuses. Not to mention, a lot of psychoanalysis and therapy. I feel that this is the more difficult approach to healing, as it takes primarily self initiative and reflection, but I am doing it the natural and healthy way. |
