Case Summary  |  Lower back pain solved with discectomy surgery

Condition Back Lower (Lumbar) Herniated Disk
Case Description

I started having mild lower backpain one night in Marchwhich I did not think was bad at all. In a couple of days it got much worse and was going down my leg and into my foot.

I went to a doctor who did some tests and then referred me to a neurologist. After an MRI and myelogram, he decided to do a discectomy. The surgery went well and I was back on my feet within a couple of days. I did rest for a month at home. It took me about six months to feel comfortable. I am still very careful with lifting heavier things today.

Dates March 1, 2001 - October 5, 2001
