Case Summary | Lower Back Pain with Sciatica - Slipped SI Joint
| Condition | Back Lower (Lumbar) Sacroiliac Joint Pain |
| Case Description | I worked as a Nursing Assistant for many years, lifting patients up to four times my weight by myself. I injured my lower back at work and was told that my right Scaroicrilic Joint, which connects the lower spine to the pelvis, had slipped out of its socket. This injury has caused me a lot of pain over the years. I can no longer work and sometimes have a hard time even walking due to the sudden sharp sciatica pains that shoot down my right leg. The doctor I saw about it told me that it would most likely just heal on its own because the reason my joint had slipped was from the pressure of a bulging disc. However, even with years of rest, my back has not returned to normal. I still have a lot of pain and still can't work in the only profession I am qualified for, which is Nursing. |
