Case Summary | Not made to shovel snow
| Condition | Back Lower (Lumbar) Pinched Nerve |
| Case Description | A couple of months ago, I wrenched my back while shoveling snow and ended up with excruciating pain radiating down the top half of my left leg. I tried ignoring it, then tried going to my PCP for pain meds and muscle relaxants. I ended up taking a course of prednisone, which didn't help, then ended up checking myself into the hospital for IV pain meds and a cortisone shot to my spine (12/17/08). I've since had 2 double-courses of oral prednisone and am about 90% back to normal. |
