Case Summary | Painful mouth ulcers
| Condition | General Mouth Ulcers |
| Case Description | I have suffered from these for years, and know of some other people who do as well. It starts as a small ulcer which will grow in size and pain level if left untended. There are numerous mouth rinses and topical creams on the market that treat either the pain or the ulcer itself, or both. However, I have found that the most effective method is simply rinsing with salt water. This can be done multiple times a day - I usually do after any time that I eat and especially right before bed. The salt water is the quickest method that I have found to get rid of these painful ulcers. It also helps to avoid acidic foods until it is completely healed. Hope this helps - I know how painful and distracting they can be! |
