Case Summary  |  pinched nerve in back causing numbness in face

Condition Back Upper - Neck (Cervical) Pinched Nerve
Case Description

pinched nerve in back causing numbness in face.

Numbness and tingling was noticed on left side of face. the sensation was that of have a spider web on the skin. The tingling and numbness most often occurred at work, while working on the computer. When i realized that the tingling and numbness wasn't from something physically touching my face, i went to my family doctor. the family doctor diagnosed the issue as neurological and referred me to neurologist. while the neurologist was thorough, he seemed to have locked in on migraine head aches as the cause, even though i repeatedly said that i never had a migraine nor could even remember the time i had a head ache. The neurologist prescribed me migraine medication. The medication did not help. I have not seen a doctor since.

I started paying more attention to when the symptoms happened and they seemed to be related to stress and ergonomics. I started trying to not "hunch" over the computer, take breaks and tried to control stress with breathing exercises.
