Condition Pyoderma Gangrenosum
Current Status and How Case Started

A sore on the back of my leg turned into an open sore. After an initial mis-diagnosis, it was determined to be pyoderma gangrenosum. I was given anti-biotics to fight an underlying infection, and anti-biotic ointment to cover the wound site. I also was given steroids to heal the site.

While the wound almost healed completely, it worsened when I caught pneumonia, and has persisted since that time (March 2011).
