Case Summary  |  Shingles

Condition Skin Shingles (Herpes zoster)
Case Description

I discovered a strange non-symmetrical rash on my body last week. I talked to some friends about it (I don't have health insurance) and ruled out options until I figured out it was shingles. Went to the free clinic and the doctor confirmed the diagnosis and prescribed me acyclovir to help minimize the rash's size and effect until the condition passed. He also told me to take ibuprofen because I could not afford a pain prescription. I am really not enjoying this very much and can't wait until it passes. I hope I don't get shingles again.

I have been taking acyclovir to mitigate the shingles rash but so far have seen no results.
