Case Description

Describe what happened, how you treated it, and what's going on today

I was having pain in several places down my left leg. I also had numness in my left toes at times. I also had some pain in my lower back after heavy lifting. I went to the doctor who siad it was caused by a Herniated Disk. He gave me some exersises to do. They were simple leg twists thqat rotated my back bone. I went home and did the exersises and they did help some but the pain came back many times.The pain was most while walking and standing. I at that time sometimes would lift heavy objects. I cut out all heavy lifting and continuned the floor exersises. After about 4 monthes of exersise the pain in my lower back and pain down the leg iwasgone. I am still exersising in the morning, before I was doing it two times a day. I try and not lift heavy things and I am walking for about 1 hour a day. I also try to sit propery at all times. I bought a neck pillow that helps keep my back bone straigh while sleepingt. I did not find yoga to help but I may go back to it late as it is good for your. I have given up most biking as that did not seem to help at all. I do not swim but I have read that helps but when I did swim I found it to make my back hurt more and not help maybe it was the kind of swimming I did. I am happy with my results of no more lifting simple floor exersises sitting properly and walking to be the best help, I plan on continuing the exersises for some time now as I still feel a slight crack in my back when I start. I hope that will go away in time.

I did floor exersises that rotated my back bone.
