Case Summary  |  Spinal pain

Condition Back Upper - Neck (Cervical) Pain
Case Description

I have suffered from neck and back pain just about my entire life. It basically started when I was a kid - I used to sleep on my stomach. I would have terrible headaches and back pain. It would sometimes get so intense that I would basically cry myself to sleep. I never got nausea from the headaches, but they were VERY intense. Painful to the point that ANY sound and light would cause me extreme pain.

I would take aspirin like it was candy, throughout the period when I had the intense headaches or backaches I would take aspirin at the prescribed intervals. I went to eye doctors to check my vision (I now wear glasses, but didn't at the time), but no problems with my vision could be found. I went to the family doctor, but he could never find anything conclusive. One of the "last resorts" my parents decided to try was to take me to a Chiropractor.

I first started going to a Chiropractor at around age 12 (I'm now 45) and have had spinal alignment treatments for several years. I don't quite remember how many visits and alignments it took initially, but I do remember how quickly my headaches subsided and finally ended all together. I would estimate that it was approximately 6 to 10 visits total before I really felt "cured" of my headache problems. I now go when needed and it usually only takes one or two visits to get things back in alignment and prevent or stop any bad headaches.
