Case Summary | T12-L1 Rotation Injury
| Condition | Back Mid (Thoracic) Pain |
| Current Status and How Case Started | Original injury twisting (rotating) while lifting a heavy TV. Right away felt pinching pain in lower back. After a day the pain moved through lower to mid back. Finally got an MRI in late 2010. Nothing specific pointed to the root cause of the pain. "No significant protrusion, central canal, neural foraminal or lateral recess narrowing is demonstrated i the T11-L2 through l2-3 levels. L3-L4 There is a mild facet hypertrophy. No significant protrusion, central canal, neural foraminal narrowing is present. The lateral recesses are normal" Currently although not perfect the area feels pretty good as I've adjusted not lift while flexing and doing lots of stretches. |

Case History & Details
| Treatment Combo | Tai Chi + Strengthening + Chiropractic |
| Treatment Result | Helped a lot |
| Description | Tai Chi three times a week. Although my back still hurts during flexion, it is quite functional in other areas. Got the point where I did not need to crack. I attribute much of it to Tai Chi exercises and continued chiropractor visits. |

| Description | Original injury twisting (rotating) while lifting a heavy TV. Right away felt pinching pain in lower back. After a day the pain moved through lower to mid back. After three days, went to chiropractor who said that there is swelling in the area which subsided after a couple of weeks. I lost ability to flex spin without pain. Extensions is completely fine. The back tightened up in the area and required a release by rotating the body left and right which resulted in a pop. I started right away. However, I also continued stretching (specifically spine flexion) which was a mistake as it was aggravating the injury. |
