Case Summary | Tennis Elbow
| Condition | Arm Tennis Elbow |
| Case Description | During tennis season we practice everyday and often play one to three matches a week in addition. I was serving in a match vs Cloquet playing 2nd singles and my Elbow suddenly felt awful, almost teared. I had to stop immediately and apply ice. The pain and inflammation was mainly on the outside of my elbow but I good feel it in my forearm as well. After the match, [we still won regardless] I drove to SMDC to get my elbow examined by a doctor. Sure enough, it was the nagging tennis elbow and I was advised to stop playing tennis for the rest of the season. I was devastated. This was my Junior year of tennis and I was counted upon as a leader of the team. I spent the rest of the season cheering from the sidelines but did everything I could to try and make it back before state qualifiers. Unfortunately, my elbow was pretty banged up probably because of my tremendous spin serve not to mention by huge, flat serve. The next season was a different story. Once again I played 2nd singles and we made it ti state but lost to Edina in the 2nd round. The injury was common for tennis players and really halted my tennis career. |
