Case Summary | Torn Meniscus
| Condition | Knee Lateral Meniscus Tear |
| Case Description | While playing football, my knee collapsed sideways. I ended up with some torn ligaments and a torn minicus. After the surgery to repair the damage, I'm left with a regular slight pain and substantial lateral instability in the knee. So, a great deal of care must be taken to avoid re-injuring myself. The knee brace is useful when I have to do something that may put excessive strain on the knee. Aspirin has become my drug of choice to help with the pain and inflammation. As the more stronger anti-inflammatorys are hard on the stomach. Ongoing and as required. The condition is permanent, but the treatments help. |
