Case Summary  |  Twisted Knee

Condition Knee Medial Collateral Ligament Injury
Case Description

I was a Ballet dancer and injured my knee while trying to execute a turn on a floor that was made sticky from humidity. The result was a blinding pain in my knee when my body went around but my foot stayed in place.
Since I knew nothing had snapped, I bought a brace at the drug store and hobbled around for a few days. The pain went away after a couple weeks but when I returned to class, I found that my knee gave away when I tried to land any jump.
I decided to stop dancing and now my knee is completely healed. It just took rest and I knew that there was no way it would heal if I kept re-injuring it by continuing to go to class.
