Condition Shoulder Broken Clavicle
Case Description

Last year I was visiting my old friend in Texas. Well, one thing led to another and we started drinking. Then before you knew it we sparked up one of our old debates about politics that had no clear answer. So how did we decide the outcome? We decided to settle it like any self respecting adults, with a wrestling match. This is a bad Idea. Anyway to make a long story short i ended up slamming him down i swear I was going to win, but then he rolled me on my shoulder and, CRACK!! I broke my collar bone, but I did not know it then. I didn't feel so good afterward. So I took my drunk self to bed and I guess the anesthetic properties of alcohol allowed me to drift off to sleep. The next morning was bad, I woke early and couldn't get up or lift my arm. It was time for the professionals to take a look at me. Later that day I found myself at the hospital and found out that the collar bone was indeed broken and that it is actually called a clavicle. I had to get some x-rays because when you break your clavicle there is a chance that the bone can poke down into your chest and even pierce a lung. Luckily this didn't happen to me. I also learned there is not much they can do for you at this point . No cast or anything just a kind of backwards bra that straps on you and holds your shoulders back and in place not letting the bone shift. I had to wear the backwards bra for about six weeks to allow the bone to heal. Afterward my wife who is a meditator suggested that it might help me with the pain and be able to relax more with my situation. I found that meditation was really helpful to deal with the pain and help me sleep at night. I made contact with a local Buddhist group and they gave me the instruction. I would suggest trying meditation for anyone that is dealing painful experiences it really helped me.
