Arm Biceps Tendinitis Treatment

Biceps Tendinitis is also called Tendinopathy. Pain or impaired function from overuse. Most people do not have inflammation.

The biceps muscle is located in the front of the upper arm. It is used when lifting, bending the elbow and reaching up over the head. It also helps keep your shoulder stable. People with biceps tendinitis usually have pain in the front of the shoulder that worsens at night. Tendons are tough bands of tissue that connect muscles to bones.

Bicep tendinitis is treated by resting the affected area and slowly working back into movement and exercise to improve muscle strength and tendon stability. Surgery is not usually necessary.

I can say now that it's healed. It took couple months to recover from biceps tendonitis. First it was rest and ice, which I applied during 20 - 30 minutes several times a day. I took anti-inflammatory medication and massage sessions..
