I started having trouble with my lower back. I would have sudden spasms, like a tightening of my muscles, like an intense twitch which I could not control. I'm convinced I pulled this playing volleyball on an intramural team. I think I failed to warm up which caused the over-extension. I tried to avoid heavy medication. Through careful stretching (my doctor) had me back to normal by the end of the week. I'm still competing but I'm more diligent about stretching..
