Cases  |  Back : Lower (Lumbar) Pinched Nerve - Walking

About 2 months ago I started noticing a pain down my right leg when I sat down for a long period of time. I noticed it mostly when driving in the car for more than 30 minutes and when sitting at work for long periods of time. It was a dull pain at first that was mainly in my butt but then it started "shooting" down my leg and all the way into my calf and ankle. It hurt the most in my butt and hamstring though. The pain would go away when I stood up and walked around. So I went to the chirocpractor to see if he could help me. He said that based on my symptoms it sounded like a pinched nerve in my back. So he adjusted my back and then put electrodes on my back which send an electrical impulse to the nerves. The chiropractor said this would in essence confuse the nerves and the pain would end. At first the electrodes would sort of hurt and make my muscle twitch but after about 3 visits I enjoyed the feeling. I would say after about one month of going to the chiropractor the pain started going away. Today I still get the pain but only if I am sitting for more than 2 hours and I am still going to the chiropractor once a month to help with the pain. I think this will be an ongoing treatment for some time.
