General Cumulative Trauma Disorder (CTD) Treatment
Cumulative trauma disorders (CTDs) are disorders that are caused by repeated exertions or movements of the body. Wear and tear on tendons, muscles and nerve tissue occurs as a result of continuous use or pressure over an extended period of time.
Using muscles and joints after they have become overly tired, increases the likelihood of injury. CTDs are commonly associated with certain occupational and leisure activities. Many CTDs can be avoided by a set of fairly simple and straightforward ergonomics procedures.
