Head Hair Loss Treatment

Hair loss usually develops gradually and may be patchy or all over.

Genetic baldness is caused by the body's failure to produce new hairs and not by excessive hair loss. Baldness is related to aging, heredity, and testosterone. A sudden physical or emotional stress may cause the loss of hair.

There are a lot of causes for hair loss: some of them are the following: severe infection; major illness; childbirth; a number of medications, including retinoids, birth control pills, beta-blockers, certain antidepressants, NSAIDs (including iburpofen); diets which do not contain enough protein and so on.

For hair loss due to illness no treatment is necessary. The hair will usually grow back when the illness has ended or the therapy is finished.
