I was experiencing pain that started in my back and radiate to the buttocks and to the front and to the side of my hip. The alternating ice & heat therapy along with the NSAID's helped the pain. Resting for a couple days & easing into tolerable activity also helped.

None of these things ever helped. Taking pain relievers never helped, unless they were strong like darvoset (which helped a littttle bit) or hydrocodone which helped and put me to sleep (which i needed). Ice packs and massage did not get deep down to the bones, which is the root ...
