Neurological Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome
Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome (RSD) is a chronic pain condition that is believed to be the result of dysfunction in the central or peripheral nervous systems. The symptoms of RSD are as following: intense, continuous pain; changes in the color and temperature of the skin over the affected body part; burning pain; skin sensitivity; sweating; swelling.
RSD usually affects one of the extremities (legs, arms, hands, feet).
