A sore on the back of my leg turned into an open sore. After an initial mis-diagnosis, it was determined to be pyoderma gangrenosum. I was given anti-biotics to fight an underlying infection, and anti-biotic ointment to cover the wound site. I also was given steroids to heal the site.
