Shoulder Dislocation Treatment

A dislocation is a separation of two bones where they meet at a joint. Joints are areas where two bones come together.

The shoulder is the most mobile and the most commonly dislocated joint in the human body because of its high mobility. Dislocation of a shoulder occurs when a ball-shaped head of an upper arm (humeral head) comes out of its socket (glenoid).

Shoulder dislocation may cause such complications as ligament or nerve damage, muscle damage or damage to an artery.
