Skin Dry Flaky Treatment
Dry flaky skin occurs when the skin is unable to produce enough natural oil that body produces. When the production of the body oil from natural oil glands is not sufficient for the body, the skin becomes dry and flaky. This condition can be very unpleasant when it is on the face or hands which are the most visible places for dry flaky skin to occur. It may be itchy, irritating.
This condition could happen due to a variety of reasons: dehydration of the body as the body ages or other external causes. Dry and flaky skin might sometimes lead to cracking, chapping of the skin, even to wounds due to excessive scratching.
Moisturizers help to retain moisture in the body. More severe episodes of flaky skin (like in cases with psoriasis or eczema) may need to be treated by a dermatologist.
