My lower back used to ache so bad that it was hard to even bend over the sink and wash my face. I did not know what caused the pain and was really upset about it because I am a fairly young person and I always thought back problems happened to older people.
At the time, I did not have health insurance, so I decided to see a chiropractor to see if he could help. He found that I had a spondula and thought adjustments would help. I started having adjustments on a weekly basis and the pain went away. It seems I was out of alignment and the adjustments did the trick. I am really grateful to my chiropractor as I was in a lot of pain.

Hello my name is Justin Beck and I have been working construction for over 20 years. I am in my early 40's now and all the hard years of labor are finally starting to catch up with me. Every morning I wake up to a sore back and sometimes it becomes unbearable. I went to a doctor for a evaluation and I was told that I have Paget's Disease. This disease effects the lower back , and is caused by bleeding or infection in the pelvis, infection of the cartilage or of the spine. There no know cure for this form of back pain so my doctor referred me to a Massage Therapist. The massage therapy increases circulation to the muscles where I have the most pain . Also it helps break up adhesions, or knots, which are the many contributors to back pain. So far my back pain is slowly starting to fade away and I do not have as much pain as I used to. My doctor also prescribed me 500mg of vicodin. I try not to take the vicodin because I do not want to become addicted. I only take the pills about once or twice a week, the the pain becomes unbearable. I am also looking to acupuncture, but I have always been afraid of needles, and I find the whole procedure a little creepy. But if I do decided to go threw with the acupuncture I will update you all on the outcomes.
Thank You

Due to chronic abuse, I have chronic pain in my lower back. I went in to seek treatment at 18 years of age, and the doctor first suggested I lose weight ( I was 5'2'' and weighed 115 lbs). I went to see someone else who after trying a number of drugs with awful side effects eventually put me on Amytryptaline (10 mg a night) and encouraged me to participate in physical therapy. I went to physical therapy twice a week for 6 months, and today since I don't have health insurance I continue to use the exercises and stretches I was taught. While I am not 100% perfect, I've come a long way in my mobility, range of function, and overall pain levels.

I lost my job and my house within a couple of months, and fell into depression. I slept 14 hours a day or more, did not want to socialize, and felt like I had disconnected with the world.
I visited a Social Worker and was referred to a psychiatrist for medication. While on the medication I worked on my depression issues with the Social Worker during weekly counseling session.
I am now working part-time and have found a new place to live. I can smile again, and count my blessings.
