Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are drugs with anti-inflammatory effects (reducing inflammation). Non-steroidal are non-narcotic. The most prominent members of this group of drugs are aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen (they are available over-the-counter in many areas). Anti-inflammatory medication works by reducing the inflammation.
