Corticosteroid Cream

Corticosteroid cream is an anti-inflammatory topical cream to treat many skin disorders such as eczema, dermatitis, rashes and psoriasis. The active ingredient is hydrocortisone, which is available over the counter for the relief of minor skin irritations, such as rashes. Corticosteroid cream is not a cure can help manage symptoms and provide temporary relief to scratch an affected area.

After wearing support socks to help with edema, I eventually developed red spots and splotches on my shins, calves and ankles. The doctor said it was capillaritis and prescribed a 1% topical coritosteroid lotion, applied twice a day, and said to supplement it with regular moisturizing lotion to keep my skin from drying out.
